200+ companies hiring for geospatial data science roles

In this article, I will provide a list of companies that hire technical roles focused on geospatial and climate-tech. Most of the companies that I know are based in the U.S. and for sure I am missing a lot of companies around the globe. Notably, I realized that it is really difficult to categorize 200+ companies (I thought of maybe doing so based on location, size, sector, or the type of company like small startup or engineering consulting etc.). At the end, I decided to mainly focus on the sectors that each company works on: 🌽 Agriculture, ⚡️ Energy, 🌊 Physical climate risk (e.g. flood, fire, drought, etc.), ☔️ Weather forecasting, and 🛰 Satellite remote sensing. ❗️ Needless to say that most of these companies work on multiple verticals and I have just mentioned one or two sectors for each company to give a clue to the reader.
All the companies in each category are sorted in alphabetical order (first the U.S. companies, followed by companies in Canada, Europe, or Australia).
